The University of Gloucestershire has risen 11 places in TheCompleteUniversityGuide.co.uk 2016, while its Student Support has been ranked seventh best in the country at the 2015 Whatuni Student Choice Awards.
The University is now in 80th place in the ranking of 126 institutions by TheCompleteUniversityGuide.co.uk.
The table is based on ten measures: Student Satisfaction, Research Quality, Research Intensity, Entry Standards, Student: Staff Ratio, Spending on Academic Services, Spending on Student Facilities, Good Honours degrees achieved; Graduate Prospects and Completion.
The University has also risen in a different league table, the annual Whatuni Student Choice ranking which is based on student reviews. Over the past 12 months more than 20,000 students have cast their opinions on their experience of studying at Universities across the UK. The University was rated 62nd in that list.
Of the 111 universities that met the criteria to be considered for a Student Choice Award, the University of Gloucestershire was rated seventh in the UK for the quality of Student Support services.
Student comments citing helpful and supportive lecturers, good communication, and exceptional provision of Helpzones and the Degreeplus initiative all contributed to clinching the University’s place at the Awards ceremony.
