A group of University of Gloucestershire students have been recognised for their academic excellence.

23 students have been recognised across the university’s schools of study – with the three highest performing students in each school receiving an award.

The scholarship awards have been provided by Ede and Ravenscroft who provide ceremonial robes for all occasions, including graduation ceremonies. Each student was presented with a certificate by the university and will receive scholarships worth up to £1,875.

Dr Matthew Andrews, University Secretary and Registrar at the University of Gloucestershire, said: "It is a great honour to recognise the achievements of this group of truly exceptional students. Academic excellence is very important to us as a university, and with the support of Ede and Ravenscroft it is really pleasing to be able to recognise their efforts with a substantial financial reward. I hope that these scholarships will enable all the students to continue to focus on their studies and excel for the remainder of their programmes. We are truly proud of them, and the way they enhance the reputation of the university."
