Business School Academic Excellence Unconditional Offer Bursary 2016/17

The University will award a bursary of £500.00 in the first year, paid as a cash award, for
  • each full-time student entering their first year of undergraduate study who:
  • accepts the University as firm choice before 4 May 2016 and enrolls for the 2016/17 academic year
  • the University states that there conditional offer will be made unconditional
  • the student achieves examination results of ABB or higher at A-level or equivalent (according to the equivalences list used by the University of Gloucestershire).

Courses that are eligible for bursary are:

  • BA (Hons) Business Management
  • BA (Hons) International Business Management
  • Business and Marketing Management
  • BA (Hons) Business and Marketing Management
  • BA (Hons) Marketing
  • BA (Hons) Marketing Advertising and Branding

Students will:

  • be liable for the full fees of £9,000
  • be eligible for funding from Student Finance
  • have successfully completed a full-time, further education course, lasting a minimum of one year, no earlier than academic year 2014/15
  • not hold an equivalent or higher qualification i.e. you must not already hold a qualification that is equivalent or higher to the degree that you will be undertaking

Further information

  • Scholarship funds (cash awards) are paid directly into students bank accounts in three
    instalments; 25% in November 2016, 25% in February 2017 and 50% in May 2017.
  • Students who are awarded the additional ABB+ £500 will have achieved ABB grades or higher
    over three A levels, or the HEFCE approved equivalent, in their studies prior to entering the
  • If an award is terminated for any reason, a student must repay the University any monies
    overpaid, based on a pro-rata calculation from the date of the termination of the scholarship
  • Students studying on a franchised or validated course will not be eligible for the award (please contact if further information is needed)
  • An award holder who transfers from full-time to part-time enrolment will cease to be eligible to hold the award
  • The University will terminate the award for any student who ceases to be an enrolled student of the University of Gloucestershire, for whatever reason
