The University of Gloucestershire has approximately 1,800 rooms in halls of residence in Cheltenham and Gloucester.

Equipped with:

  • bed, wardrobe, drawers, chair, desk and bookcase
  • kitchen is equipped with fridge, freezer, microwave, cooker, toaster, kettle and cupboards
  • laundry facilities are available on-site
  • regular bus services run between campuses and residences

Cost of living in halls

Weekly rent ranges from £100 - £189 (based on 2017-18 academic year). The rent includes all utility bills, internet costs, contents insurance and cleaning of kitchens once a week. Contracts are for a fixed term of 40 weeks.

Residential support

The residential support team is responsible for pastoral support to residential students. This team consists of residential support advisers who are full-time staff and residential assistants who are returning students recruited by the accommodation department.

The residential support team is on hand to assist you with a variety of issues that arise while living in residence, including welfare and maintenance issues. The halls are also supported by the security, cleaning and maintenance teams who help ensure the smooth running of halls.
