Built in 2004, Shaftesbury Hall is on the Francis Close Hall Campus. The student flats are within walking distance of Cheltenham town centre and are very close to the University bus service. These halls house 104 students in three blocks: Cinderford, Stroud and Tewkesbury.

Hardwick

Hardwick is on St Pauls Road, a five-minute walk from Francis Close Hall. Hardwick is a popular location with students as it is within walking distance of the town centre and is close to a large 24-hour supermarket. There are 123 students in three Hardwick Residence blocks: Avon, Severn and Thames. All rooms in Avon, Severn and Thames feature spacious single en-suite study bedrooms with shared kitchen facilities.

Maidenhorn

Maidenhorn is a small block based on Hardwick campus, which houses eight students. Divided into two flats of four students, Maidenhorn is a popular location with students as it is within walking distance of the town centre and is close to a large 24-hour supermarket.

St Mary’s Halls

St Mary’s residence is our newest hall close to the town centre and within easy walking distance of Francis Close Hall. This is the third year this hall will be occupied. The halls are built to a high standard in a Regency-style building and comprise of four two-bedroom flats and nine three-bedroom flats.

The two bedroom flats have a shared bath or shower room while the three bedroom flats have one room with en-suite facilities and two rooms sharing a bath or shower. Some rooms are furnished with double beds while all have as a minimum a wardrobe, desk, chair, chest of drawers and bookshelves.

Please note there are no laundry facilities at the site but the hall is very central to Cheltenham High Street which offers such facilities. There is underfloor heating.
