As the horizons of the leisure industry continue to evolve all over the world, an abundance of opportunities are arising for equally dynamic and vibrant people to help keep it moving. By its very nature, leisure has an array of exciting and challenging specialisms on offer, giving prospective professionals a range of ways to become a part of it.
At the University of Gloucestershire, our courses have been specifically designed to meet the needs of this energetic industry, with courses covering everything from the performing arts and drama, to events, tourism, sports and hotel and resort management. Each course has also been carefully structured to reflect the diversity of the industry, with a number of flexible modules which allow you to focus on the specific areas that really inspire you.
We are also ready to help you get that first foot through the door of the professional world. For performing arts this takes the form of extensive work with industry professionals, within professional theatre environments. For the leisure management courses we will be here to encourage and support you in securing your first industry placement; an invaluable experience which allows you to put your theoretical skills to the test, while also giving you the chance to build contacts for the future.
The School of Leisure is based at Oxstalls Campus, a purpose-built higher education campus in the city of Gloucester. The School provides undergraduate, postgraduate and research student opportunities in a vibrant and diverse student community.
