Graduate career-ready

At the University of Gloucestershire Business School, we are driven by one primary goal: we want our graduates to be career-ready.

That means graduating with academic excellence and substantial real-world experience. It’s an important combination. It means you’ll be well-rounded. You’ll be more business-minded. You’ll be able to attract the attention of potential employers more quickly. Our graduates are living proof of this.

We have a strong vocational focus and offer a variety of guest speakers and opportunities for work placements to help you gain vital hands-on experience. These, together with our teaching methods, develop your skills ready for the workplace. We provide class sizes where you’ll be able to get to know your fellow students and will ensure you are taught by our key staff. We consider this to be the best way to help you succeed.

For over 30 years the University of Gloucestershire has been teaching business degrees. Underpinned by research, we offer high quality and academically rigorous undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and research student opportunities.

Constantly innovating and improving our courses, we have forged strong links with professional bodies and industries on a local, national and international level. Our staff members have both an academic background and extensive experience in practice or business and are approachable and supportive, creating an excellent student experience.

In 2018 a £16m flagship building will be the new home for the University’s Business School, and will expand the Growth Hub which is already based at our Oxstalls campus in Gloucester.

It will give you the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in spaces specially designed for small groups or informal gatherings. Attend a lecture in a 100-seat collaborative lecture theatre which offers flexibility for a range of learning experiences.

Participate in real-life business scenarios in our trading room and business clinic facilities, or explore case arguments in the moot court room. Step out of the classroom and into a meeting with business leaders at the Growth Hub. The Growth Hub will become an inspiring focal point of activity providing you opportunities to work alongside leading businesses in Gloucestershire and beyond.
