Professionally approved by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management is aimed at experienced, practiscing HR professionals, aspiring for senior manager or director positions in Human Resource Management or Development. As an experienced HR practitioner, you will likely hold CIPD certificate qualifications (including CPP & CTP, intermediate or foundation level or an undergraduate degree) or a number of years HR experience.

Study style

Study this CIPD approved two year part-time course one afternoon/evening a week - Wednesdays for 2018/19 joiners and on Tuesdays for 2019/20. Develop both academic knowledge and workplace skills through innovative approaches to classroom learning, case studies and problem-based learning.

Assessment will be through coursework and unseeen assignments.

Recommended study is 1,200 hours across the two years, with 900 of these being independent study.

Entry requirements

To study the part-time PGDip you will need one of the following:

  • An undergraduate degree with an interest in the area OR
  • A number of years HR experience and/or management experience OR
  • To hold professional qualifications L3-5, ranging from the CIPD Certificate/Foundation Programmes such as the CPP & CTP, Intermediate L5 or Certificate in Management Studies (CMS)
  • In addition, non-native English speakers will need an IELT score of 6.5, written 6.0
